The Girna River is a major tributary of the Tapti River, flowing through the Nashik and Jalgaon districts of Maharashtra, India. This temple is known as 'Trambakeshwar' of Konkan'. Marleshwar name may come from Maral village.

The Girna River originates in the Western Ghats, near the town of Nandgaon in Nashik district, and flows eastward through the Jalgaon district before joining the Tapti River near the town of Mehunbare. The Girna Dam, located near Malegaon, is a significant structure on the river, built for irrigation purposes.

Monsoon (July to September): The region receives moderate to heavy rainfall, rejuvenating the river and filling up the Girna Dam. Winter (November to February): Cool and pleasant, with temperatures between 15°C and 28°C, making it the best time to visit.
